So I thought I wasn't going to be able to vote. I had to leave my apartment after Sandy and go to stay at my parents' house in a county were I am not registered to vote. I am not particularly political but this would have been the first presidential election where I did not vote since I turned 18. This morning though I found that Governor Cuomo is allowing people who have been displaced by Sandy to vote at other locations by affidavit ballot. So I went and filled out a very long, complicated affidavit ballot and voted.
There you go, I lost power, running water and heat for over a week and had to leave and move across the state and still voted. So if you are an American there is no reason not to vote today.
