The Kraken Lord and the Eater of the Sun is coming out on November 7th 2012 as part of Less Than Three Press' Bestiary collection which is looking like it will be fantastic. The Kraken Lord is set in the same universe as Heart of Water and Stone.

One of the things I really enjoyed about writing it was getting to delves more deeply into the culture and history of trolls and talk about the different kinds of trolls that inhabit my world. In The Kraken Lord and the Eater of the Sun Egrill is a full blooded mountain troll, as apposed to Girin who is part human. He is also a lot older than Girin. These two factors allowed me to look at things like trolls' relationships with other magical creatures, trollish attitudes towards humans, different kinds of troll magic, as well as the cultural difference between mountain trolls (like Girin and Egrill) and valley trolls who I introduce in this book.

Anyway I am excited and looking forward to is release.
